Shutterly Fabulous

shutters

We’ve recently come across a company specialising in the finest wooden plantation shutters. Many Victorian or Georgian west London homes have large period windows, which only look truly fantastic with proper wooden shutters. Curtains can look dated and heavy, especially in summer, where proper wooden shutters are timeless and stylish.

Shutters are great in bedrooms now spring is rearing her head and the light peels in at the crack of dawn. We have them throughout our house and they keep the heat in over the colder months, and fold back neatly giving a clean, airy look in summer. It’s so lovely to control the light in your home, and not have it control you! Shutters can add value to your home, and they’re neutral so they create a great basis for any interior scheme.

Shutterly Fabulous was formed in 2001 by managing director Mark Carter. Formally Head Of Cabin Services with Virgin Atlantic, Mark wanted to offer a supply and installation shutter product with a level of customer service that was second to none. 70 per cent of their business comes from previous customers and personal recommendations, which is as good an endorsement as a business can ask for!

Their shutters are genuinely unique. The majority of shutters sold in the UK are made in the same factory in China. Shutterly Fabulous’ shutters are from their own factory. They therefore have full control over all aspects of your shutter order. From trickle vent and handle cut-outs to concealed tilt rods – at no extra charge! They are proud to offer you our truly unique shutters.

Their team are shutter experts. They don’t sell blinds or awnings, but are focused 100 per cent on plantation shutters. Their design consultants are former shutter installers, and their shutter installers are trained carpenters. All of their team are permanent in-house employees so you can rest assured that quality remains high.

Spring would be the perfect time to invest in beautiful shutters to enhance any room or window in your home, or update battered or badly designed shutters which may be bringing your house down.
