Espionage Menuby Michelin-starred Mauro Colagreco; Raffles London at The OWO; Five Courses £175; Until 8th August
This summer, Michelin-starred Mauro Colagreco has launched a new five-course Espionage Menu at Raffles London at The OWO, taking inspiration from the extraordinary spy history of the former Old War Office, the building that inspired Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels.
The tempting menu is served in the beautiful dining room and consists of five courses plus a glass of champagne for £175.
The theatrical tasting menu features dishes including Camouflage, a lovage, pine and mushroom risotto designed to deceive the eye, and The Ultimate Spy, a Vesper Martini-inspired dessert. The menu recently took centre stage on BBC One’s MasterChef, where semi-finalists were challenged to recreate the dishes in Mauro’s kitchen.
The menu forms part of Licence to Dine, a new collection of spy-inspired experiences across the hotel, including a new espionage-led cocktail menu at the hidden Spy Bar and an Operation Mincemeat Afternoon Tea in The Drawing Room.
