A gorgeous spread greeted our arrival at Cocomaya (the banana cake was one of our fave treats) for the start of our Chelsea Press evening, before we headed off in a rickshaw to tour the area. We were met by the bell boy at Cartier, treated to a hand and arm massage at Jo Malone (and left with a purchase of a bottle of limited-edition Plum Blossom cologne), checked out the Supperclub-style private room at Dodo and finished at Rhubarb, Gallery Mess for a glass of Prosecco.
The press day proceeded Chelsea in Bloom, when the streets of Chelsea are filled with blossoms. This year’s Best Floral Display Award went to Liz Earle, Duke of York Square for their stunning floral display and interpretation of the Diamond Jubilee theme. The Runner-up was Ted Baker, Duke of York Square; The White Company, Symonds Street was Highly Commended; and Creative Recognition Award went to Hackett, Sloane Street.
