Rhubarb at the Royal Albert Hall

At the end of May the Royal Albert Hall re-opened its refurbished South entrance. The space includes a brand new Café Bar, making the iconic Grade I listed venue more accessible to the general public and London tourists throughout the day.

The newly created Café Bar is operated by “rhubarb” and becomes the venue’s 6th dining space and 14th bar. It is open seven days a week and accessible to all, serving breakfast and lunch including a delicious range of freshly baked pastries, gourmet sandwiches, toasted paninis, soups, vibrant salads and a delightful range of homemade cakes.

During the day Café Bar serves a selection of delicious salads such as roasted squash, grilled sweetcorn, feta and chilli, or a honey and tyme roasted aubergine salad with mozzarella. There is also a selection of main dishes such as a British classic of rare roast beef with watercress and horseradish crème fraiche. Evenings at Café Bar see daily specials as well as a Spanish charcuterie inclusing Ternel ham, Salchichon De Vic, Chorizo Magno and air dried beef served with Torta de Acelle biscuits, almonds and caper berries. Amongst these mains there is also a stunning selection of handmade cakes and pastries – perfect for an afternoon snack or breakfast.

The Café Bar is located in The Hall’s new South entrance which has recently been renamed The Zvi and Ofra Meitar Porch and Foyer by Door 12. Open daily: Monday–Friday 7.30am–5pm, weekends 9am–5pm. Open late for selected events.
