Launceston Place Awarded a Michelin Star

Kensington restaurant, Launceston Place has just been awarded a Michelin star – arguably the most revered restaurant guide amongst chefs, restaurant critics and guests alike. This is an outstanding achievement for the local neighbourhood restaurant whose head chef, Tim Allen has only been present for six months.

Tim comments on his achievement, “A Michelin star is an incredible accomplishment. I am so proud of my team who work to exceptional standards at every service, and feel this really is a testament to all of our hard work this year.”

The menu at Launceston Place offers seasonal British dishes with a twist. Tim’s signature dishes include starters such as Slow cooked duck egg, sautéed girolles, pata negra lardo and pea veloute. For mains they have Hand speared plaice with salt cod bon bon, cauliflower puree, samphire, capers and brown butter chicken jus. Desserts include baked English custard, scented with vanilla; pineapple roasted in Pedro Ximenez and crumbled coconut and apple ice cream. Launceston Place also offers an early evening menu, tasting menu and Sunday lunch menu.
