Stunning Staycations at Surrey Lakes Glamping

Escape to the glorious English countryside with Surrey Lakes Glamping

The blurb

Perched on the edge of a mystical woodland with a meandering stream and backing onto the world-famous Winkworth Arboretum, Surrey Lakes Glamping provides the perfect opportunity for families and couples to come together and bask in nature’s glory.

Established by brothers Frank & Val, this stunning glamping site is under an hour from London by car, nestled in the heart of the spectacular Surrey Hills: An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The two brothers have lived in this pocket of beauty for all their lives and feel it is too special not to be shared.

The experience

Being a protected Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this quiet corner of the Surrey Hills is well known for its abundance of British wildlife; wake up to the sound of blissful birdsong and discover magical meadows of exotic wildflowers in this nature-friendly area. Being so close to London yet feeling so remote and private, Surrey Lakes Glamping offers the ideal getaway for families, couples and small groups of friends who are seeking a peaceful rural staycation. If you like hiking, there is a network of stunning walking trails; and the area is also popular among cyclists. Or if you’re a keen foodie, there are plenty of cosy local inns and eateries, dishing up gourmet delicacies and traditional pub grub favourites.

Spend quality time with your friends or family away from all distractions at Surrey Lakes Glamping. The site features two spacious yet homely accommodation options: three rugged-yet-cosy Brook Bell Tents and two beautifully designed Mongolian Great Yurts, with signature dome sky windows. Each tent is furnished with a double bed, a single bed, seating areas, tables and rugs, and is well-lit by candles and fairy lights, so you feel close to mother nature, without sacrificing any home comforts.

The glamping site contains everything you need for a truly relaxing staycation. There is a communal kitchen area with sinks, cooking equipment, fridge and Nespresso machine, as well as a hot water shower and flushing toilet block. There is also a car park onsite, allowing you to unload and pack up your belongings with ease. Each accommodation has its own outdoor seating area and al-fresco dining table, as well as a rustic fire pit and private BBQ area; cook a delicious meal on the coal-fuelled BBQ before snuggling up around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and tell ghost stories.

Surrey Lakes Glamping makes for an authentic back-to-nature experience. Owners Frank and Val are passionate about sharing one of the great British countryside’s most magical and picturesque hidden gems with guests. Whether you’re looking to relax and unwind, or embark upon an active, adventurous glamping holiday, Surrey Lakes Glamping has something for everyone.
