Members Party at Maggie’s Enclosure at Queen’s

Last weekend saw the Maggie’s club enclosure at The Queen’s Club host a post-play retro party, in honor of all their members and to help get people in the mood for the final of The Aegon Tennis Championship on Sunday.

Guest were welcomed to the ultimate retro player’s lounge complete with ping pong table, 80s arcade games, oversized wooden rackets and ball-shaped bean bags. The bar served bespoke Tanqueray ‘No. TENnis’ cocktails and Asahi beer, which they were able to enjoy sat around Maggie’s infamous Rubik’s cube tables… that a few members were later found dancing on.

It then wasn’t long before enough Moet corks were popped that they were being replaced as ping pong balls on the tables, and the enclosure was taken over by a sea of Maggie’s visor-wearing ravers, dancing to classic 80s tracks, before being transported in tennis-mobiles to the after-party at the Chelsea based club.

Hugh Grant himself was unable to resist this quintessentially British bash this year — and what with all the tennis pros popping in and out, he certainly wasn’t the only player spotted in action.
