Stellar Season Facial at Salon C. Stellar

What They Say

Party season has a way of creeping up on my skin. The late nights, drying central heating, travel, and overindulgence tend to take their toll, so when I heard about Salon C. Stellar’s new Stellar Season Facial, a venture from renowned skin expert Andrea Pfeffer, designed specifically to carry skin through the festive months and promising “dewy dumpling glow” and “glazed doughnut sheen,” I was intrigued.

Crafted by the clinic’s expert aestheticians, the facial combines radio frequency contouring, sculpting massage, and medical-grade LED light therapy. Designed to support skin through stress, dehydration, and dullness, it’s suitable for most skin types and ideal for anyone seeking long-lasting radiance rather than a quick fix.

The Process

Salon C. Stellar is located in the beating heart of Soho, hidden in plain sight behind a single glass-paned door. Once I found the charming entrance, I was quickly buzzed into a narrow hallway decorated with Keith Haring–like doodles, playful and whimsical in feel. I made my way upstairs to a spacious, lavender-hued treatment room, where I was introduced to Stephanie, a consummate professional who immediately put me at ease with her warmth, knowledge, and lively attitude.

Once comfortably tucked in, Stephanie began with a thorough double cleanse, using a skin scrubber tool I hadn’t experienced before, followed by steam and an initial massage to kick-start circulation. Next came extractions — always the point where you can tell whether an aesthetician really knows their craft — and Stephanie did not disappoint.

The contouring phase followed, and was the part I enjoyed most. While the facial typically uses radio frequency technology, Stephanie opted for ultrasound in my case to better suit my skin. This was paired with targeted sculpting massage to lift and define the cheekbones and jawline. The sensation was cooling, deeply relaxing, and far more comfortable than I expected.

The final stage was medical-grade LED light therapy, selected for its clinically validated wavelengths to support skin regeneration, calm inflammation, and boost long-term luminosity. I was given eye protection and headphones playing a meditative soundtrack, and drifted somewhere between meditation and sleep before the ritual concluded.

At the end of the treatment, I was sent on my way with noticeably plumper skin, a chilled passion fruit Momo Kombucha, and a take-home gift of Gezeiten Ampoules to help prolong the results well beyond the treatment room.

The Results

Immediately post-treatment, my skin looked impressively fresh – hydrated and unmistakably brighter. The glow wasn’t shiny or tight, but soft and plump. My jawline appeared subtly more defined, and there was a noticeable bounce to my cheeks. I experienced a little redness after the extractions, but this subsided quickly.

What impressed me most, however, was how the results evolved over the following days. My skin held onto that hydrated quality well into the week, and my makeup sat better, requiring less coverage and a lighter hand. The Gezeiten Ampoules helped extend the effects, making this feel like a treatment with genuine longevity rather than a one-night-only fix. I would absolutely book it again — not only as a festive treat, but whenever my skin needs a considered pick-me-up.
