The Process
After a quick check-in, I’m led to a sun-filled room on the third floor of Dr. Nyla’s Harley Street clinic. First, my skin is purified with a honey-scented cleansing cream by Intraceuticals. Set up for the facial is a breeze (there’s no need to change), and moments later I’m laying back as the Intraceuticals handpiece is gliding painless over my face. The handpiece delivers oxygen and serum; the air is slightly cool and moist against my skin, but there’s no scent. Medical-grade oxygen is used to ensure full coverage and deep penetration; it also increases the longevity of the results.
I’m told that the process can take anywhere from 20-40 minutes depending on the hydration levels of your skin. As it’s winter and I’ve just returned from a trip to northern Sweden, my skin is absolutely parched and it greedily sucks up the vitamin-packed serum. My right side is finished first and with a hand mirror, I admire the volume and glow. Soon, both sides of my face are done (including my neck and lips), and the treatment is finished with a quick swipe of Intraceuticals’s Rejuvenate Eye Gel and Moisturizer.
The Results
The process is so quick and painless that had I not seen the glowing results immediately afterward, I may have doubted the effectiveness of the treatment. There’s no downtime and my skin is instantaneously rosy, fresh and dewy—like it just drank a litre of Evian. The tone and texture has noticeably improved too. When I go out later that night, there’s no need for make-up.
