The Process
I visited Dr Haus for the first time a couple of months ago to try his version of Baby Botox, with excellent results. I’ve now been invited back to try the latest addition to the myriad lasers available at the clinic: The Red Touch Laser.
When it comes to lasers, the clinic seems to be miles ahead of the curve, constantly updating its roster with the latest technologies. I’m told that the Red Touch is the only laser that directly impacts collagen production. To mere mortals like myself, this simply means that the Red Touch goes straight to the heart of the issue, whereas other lasers will tackle this indirectly by stimulating the body’s healing processes through heat.
Though the process is advanced, the experience is refreshingly simple. I’m seated in the laser room (and when I say there are myriad lasers, I mean too many for me to count!). Numbing cream is applied for no longer than a couple of minutes, removed and followed with a soothing cooling gel. The laser feels cold but not unpleasant at all. There is one moment where I feel a slight drag of the laser above my lips, but it’s barely noticeable. Having the Red Touch Laser treatment feels like getting a cooling facial massage, and the entire process is over in under 10 minutes.
The Results
A week later, I’m getting compliments all over the place about how well I’m looking, followed by, “Have you just been on holiday?”. It’s true; my complexion looks clear, plump and really fresh, like I’ve just had a rather good rest. There’s also an inner glow showing before I even apply moisturiser, so much so that I don’t need to wear makeup in the days proceeding – and in the depths of winter – with the central heating and cold bursts galore – that’s pretty darn impressive!
