Baby Botox at Dr Haus Dermatology

What They Say

Dr Haus Dermatology is an award-winning private skin clinic at 75 Harley Street, London. The Clinic was established in 2010 by Dermatologist, Dr Ariel Haus. Dr Haus has been named as a Top Dermatologist in the Tatler Beauty & Cosmetic Surgery Guide in 2019, 2021, 2023 and again in 2024.

Dr Haus recalls clearly the day he decided to specialise in Dermatology. In his second year of medical school, he heard Professor Ivo Pitanguy, widely considered the founding father of cosmetic surgery in Brazil, tell a poignant story that for Dr Haus changed everything. Professor Pitanguy talked about caring for victims of a circus tent fire and how the treatment had not only eased the physical pain of their burns but had also helped restore their sense of self-worth. Dr Haus saw immediately the important connection between physical appearance and a healthy sense of wellbeing, and he has subsequently made it his life’s work to help his patients look and feel their best. He is passionate about skin.

The Process

Located in one of the large Harley Street buildings that feels like a maze, the clinic is large and spacious. This is a classy place. Copies of Tatler are sprawled out across the coffee table and the staff seem happy to be there. Old Jazz music plays in the background of the reception and Classic FM plays in the room. I lie back in the chair transported to Sunday lunches in the countryside and barely notice that I’m in a clinic full of needles.

I meet with Dr Haus and we discuss what I’m after, which is Baby Botox, a term used to describe Botox administered with such precision that there is still movement in the face. Dr Haus developed his version of baby Botox 25 years ago and has been providing it to loyal customers ever since.

The procedure happens smoothly. Though not always done for Botox, Dr Haus applies numbing cream to the injection site, which means that when the injections are administered I barely feel a thing.

I get the impression that Dr Haus’s patients often become friends, which is a comforting sign. You want to feel completely safe in asking for whatever you need, and this clinic hits the nail on the head by supplying me with a bottle of San Pellegrino straight from the fridge, some stress balls to hold during the procedure, and all the aftercare creams I could hope for.

The Results

I went for Baby Botox as I wanted to retain movement in my forehead and around my eyes without any lines forming and it’s no mean feat to get this right. In your attempt to reach the perfect balance, you could be navigating wonky eyebrows, out-of-place movement, or even over-lifted eyebrows. That’s why only the best clinics will do and, luckily, Dr Haus Dermatology is one of those clinics.

It’s always recommended that you go for a follow-up appointment two weeks after the initial injections. On said appointment, I arrive with already near-to-perfect Botox. The only thing that needs correcting is that there are slight ‘ladder lines’ above my eyebrows when I raise them. Having experienced it before, I thought this was part of getting Baby Botox – I was wrong.

Two tiny expertly placed injections later and I have the Botox I’ve been dreaming about. My eyebrows raise up and down perfectly and there’s even a slight natural-looking movement in between them, but my forehead, crow’s feet and frown lines are nowhere to be seen. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Dr Haus is a true leader in his field and I will be recommending him to friends and readers alike from now on.
