What They Say

Board Certified by the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM), Dr Anoob is a Medical Aesthetic Consultant who offers a wide range of aesthetic treatments and runs successful clinics in Leeds, Kendal, and London.

With a proven track record of over 25 years as an Anaesthetist for the NHS, Dr Anoob leverages his medical expertise to offer a wide range of safe, state-of-the-art, and medical-grade aesthetic treatments.

The Process

I met with Dr Anoob when my skin had taken a hit from a plethora of problems: the winter weather, central heating, stress, and a recent long haul flight. I wanted something to revive my tired eyes in a subtle, natural way. We talked over a couple of options during our online consultation, and when we met in person, Dr Anoob decided on the solution: microneedling.

The specific form of microneedling that he chose for me (there are many) is called Beautifeye and is specifically designed to target the eye area, which often shows the first signs of ageing. With Beautifeye, a cocktail of ingredients, including hyaluronic acid, is injected into the site alongside the microneedling, which works by making tiny holes in the skin, kickstarting the rejuvenation process.

Dr Anoob applied a glycolic peel in order to exfoliate the skin and refresh it in preparation for the treatment. He then manually applied a set of tiny needles, almost invisible to the naked eye, around my under eyes and even on top of my eyelids. This is the trickiest place to perform microneedling because the eye area is incredibly delicate, so it needs a skilled hand to treat it safely. Luckily, I was in great hands with Dr Anoob, who carefully administered the needles without causing me to bruise or bump, and made me feel very comfortable throughout.

In the second session, Dr Anoob applied numbing cream around the area, but I didn’t really need it. Apart from a couple of sensitive spots, the treatment was only mildly uncomfortable. Dr Anoob’s craft and skill meant that I left with only a slightly blotchy face, which was hardly noticeable and lasted the rest of the day. However, if you have sensitive skin you might want to bring sunglasses out with you for the afternoon.

During the third session, Dr Anoob concentrated on any area around my eyes that he thought needed a top-up, but by that point, I was already feeling fresh as a daisy.

The Results

They say never to expect immediate results from microneedling. The treatment, which I had three times in the space of a month, speeds up your body’s natural healing processes by breaking the skin. Then all the yummy things like collagen and elastin start renewing themselves in the area. I noticed a gradual change from the treatment and observed it from day one to two weeks after the final session. My under eyes and eyelids look revived – I got exactly what I asked for!

The Details

BeautifEYE is £150 per treatment and you need a series of 3x treatments for best results.
