Q&A: Expert Commentary from Tom Lawman-Butler

question Aside from the actual work that you do with your clients, what does being a personal trainer entail?

answerThe majority of a personal trainer’s time outside of training clients is spent planning out each session. Every session needs to be fun, engaging and goal-orientated.

Personal development and education is also an extremely important part of being a successful personal trainer. Constantly gaining knowledge through research, training and seminars is the best way to help your clients achieve their desired goals.

There are a lot of late finishes, very early starts and long workdays, it’s a tough but extremely rewarding job.
