Glass Door Homeless Charity Launches 13th Annual Sleep Out on October 3rd as London Homelessness Hits Record High

On Friday 3rd October 2025, over a hundred sleepers are expected to join Glass Door Homeless Charity’s 13th annual Sleep Out. Glass Door, which is marking its 25th anniversary, is hoping to raise £120,000 from the Sleep Out, which will help fund the charity’s services that help people to build a route out of homelessness. Participants can take part in person at the Duke of York Square, Chelsea, or remotely from anywhere in the world.

Homelessness is at a record high. The latest data shows that outreach teams in London recorded more than 13,000 people sleeping rough over a one-year timespan, a far higher number than ever recorded previously. (CHAIN annual report, Greater London, April 2024 – March 2025). In total, more than 1 out of every 50 Londoners is experiencing homelessness, and these figures show signs of continuing to grow.
