Grosvenor’s UK Poker Tour Ends Its 20th Season on Edgware Road

For ten days this November, London’s biggest poker room becomes the centre of the British game. The Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Grand Final takes over The Victoria Casino on Edgware Road from 19th to 29th November, with £1.2 million in guaranteed prize money and a £500,000 Main Event to close the tour’s 20th season.

It is the biggest week of the year at a casino that regulars simply call The Vic. And for once, the route to a seat at its tables can start as easily on a phone as it does at the door.

The Vic Hosts the GUKPT Grand Final

The headline event is the £2,000 GUKPT Main Event. Its first starting flight runs on Thursday 26th November, with another full flight and a turbo the following day, before survivors return on the Saturday and the tournament plays to a winner on Sunday 29th November. A £2,500 High Roller with £150,000 guaranteed starts on Wednesday 25th November.

The week opens a day early with the Champion of Champions on 18th November, the finale of the casino’s year-long Victoria Championships. Across the festival, the £1.2 million in GUKPT Grand Final guarantees is spread from the opening flights through to the Main Event final table.

It caps a packed few months at the same address. 888LIVE London filled The Vic from 8th to 18th October with its own £250,000 guaranteed Main Event, while the GUKPT spent the autumn in Leeds and then Blackpool before heading back to the capital for the finale.

From a £1 Online Satellite to a London Final Table

A seat in the Main Event does not have to cost £2,000. Grosvenor runs online satellites from as little as £1, climbing through £5 and £30 stages to qualifiers that award Live Event Credit worth £200, £300, £500 or £1,250, redeemed at the casino’s cash desk.

That makes choosing where to play online part of the build-up. The most useful online casino reviews name the reviewer, date the review and set out exactly what was checked, from how the cashier handles deposits and withdrawals to how quickly support answers. When poker and casino games sit under the same account, that kind of detail makes it far easier to compare sites before signing up.

A £15 Million Refit for the Tour’s 20th Season

Players arriving for the final will find a very different building from the one many remember. The Vic reopened in 2025 after a £15 million refurbishment, the largest single investment Grosvenor Casinos has made in one venue, with a new poker room, refreshed gaming areas, VIP spaces and a roof terrace.

The poker floor sits on the second level above the main casino and runs around the clock, with No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha cash games alongside the tournaments. Its history reaches back long before the refit; Victoria Coren-Mitchell and Dave “Devilfish” Ulliott both played here, and the room has become a fixture of the British game.

For spectators and casual players, the location is part of the appeal. The casino sits at the corner of Edgware Road and Harrowby Street, minutes from Marble Arch and Edgware Road stations, and the area’s own events across Bayswater and Paddington make it easy to turn a final-day rail into a full night out.

The GUKPT launched in 2007, and whoever lifts the Main Event title on Sunday 29th November will close its 20th season, whether they bought in at the cash desk or started with a £1 ticket online. The final hands play out on Edgware Road, but the qualifying route runs through screens across the country, which is why the choice of site matters as much as the choice of table.
