A Walk on the Wild Side with Mr Wood at Mr Fogg’s

On Tue 20 Jan, in order to aid and abet his friends in escaping the January blues, Mr Fogg teamed up with fellow explorer, Levison Wood, for an evening of tales and talks about his most recent expedition, a nine month walk down the length of the Nile.

The night was hosted in conjunction with Chivas Deluxe Blended Scotch Whisky, a favourite of both Levison and Mr Fogg, and guests were all able to enjoy a complimentary ‘Walking The Nile’ cocktail, created especially to celebrate Levison’s recent book and the airing of his four-part TV series on Channel 4 this month, which documents his walk from the highlands of Rwanda to the coast of Egypt.

However, the talk almost came to an abrupt halt, when on arrival the animal-loving adventurer saw what, at first glance, he thought were stools made from real elephant feet. Being a committed ambassador for Elephant charity ‘Space for Giants’, wildlife-mad Wood almost fled the scene. However, Passepartout, Mr Fogg’s charming assistant, managed to reassure the explorer that although they were imported directly from China, the stools were ‘100% genuine real man-made’—Mr Fogg, mad about mammals himself, would not have it any other way!
