Guests were recently treated to a Latin American dance performance; music by Nozomi’s in-house DJ; and a silent auction in aid of the Santa Maria Foundation, hosted by Japanese restaurant and bar, Nozomi. Auction lots included dinner for 10 prepared at home by (Nozomi’s head chef) Ian Pengelley, a unique signed collector’s items from McLaren Automotive (signed by Frank Stephenson, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton), original paintings by John Bellany and Dairo Vargas, and a fine collection of watches and jewellery.
The Santa Maria Foundation supports orphaned or abandoned young girls and those deemed to be at ‘high risk’ in Colombia. Through an alliance with the Family Wellbeing Institute and at its own school, the young girls are provided with an education that will enable them to develop into inspirational and active members of society.
