Dame Joanna Lumley officially opened the doors to Riverstone Kensington, the later living residence for over-65s. A symbol of her generation and an advocate for doing things differently, Joanna took the opportunity to talk to guests about keeping busy and enjoying life to the full.

Joanna toasted the launch with ‘The Lumley’, her signature bright-blue cocktail that was inspired by Sir Ranulph Fiennes and his Antarctic expedition. The secret recipe was divulged – simply pour a dessert spoonful of Blue Curaçao over a scoop of lemon sorbet, and top with vodka. Joanna quipped, “two of these and you’ll forget your name”, as she leaned against the beautiful marble bar and chatted to guests.
