Members and guests of The Park Club, Acton, got the chance to race double Olympic Gold medalist Rebecca Adlington in a 400-metre swim race, plus enjoy an Underwater Tea Party with the likes of Adrian Chiles and Louis Theroux (a pre-launch of Marie Curie’s Blooming Great Tea Party), a children’s Aquathlon, a Hula Hula Pool Party and a music festival including Sophie Ellis Bextor – all in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Blooming Great Tea Party campaign asks people to hold their own tea parties from Sun 12 June–Tue 12 July and raise funds to help Marie Curie Nurses provide more free care to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses.
