The Process:
The Spa itself is the ultimate urban oasis. Located on the rooftop of the Four Seasons it boasts 360 degree views across the capital and a blissful single-sex relaxation area. Vaishaly believes in using only the finest natural ingredients, not overloading the skin with chemicals and potent neon lotions and potions.
Having bedded down overlooking the twinkling capital beneath, my therapist put me at ease with a gently cleansing facial massage. This was luring me into a false sense of security as she came at me with her extraction tool (well, pride must pinch). Having de-clogged my polluted pores she relaxed me once again with a cleansing wash before bringing on the bling! Yes, it was like every west London lady’s dream as she covered me chin to scalp in crystals for a spot of microdermabrasion. If I wasn’t feeling glam enough, she revealed a high-frequency ultra violet wand with which she zapped my problem areas; reducing inflammation and killing off bacteria. The treatment finished with a nourishing facial massage to rehydrate the skin – and then a five minute attempt at waking me out of my pamper-induced coma.
The Result:
Did it leave me grinning like Nigella? Oh yes – but that was mainly from the excitement of flashing the whole of London. The thorough extraction left my skin spotless (literally) while the crystal microdermabrasion left me feeling every inch the celeb with flawless skin.
