The Longevity Lift at Clinic Dr Paris

What They Say

Based in Marylebone (next to Le Labo and opposite La Brasserie Milanese on Devonshire Street), Clinic Dr Paris is spearheaded by facial aesthetics star Dr Paris Acharya, serving as Founder and Medical Director with over 15 years of experience. Her treatments range from health and wellbeing (i.e. genetic testing and health assessments) to hair, body, and skin treatments, including one of the newest offerings, the Longevity Lift. This is a bespoke CACI (Computer Aided Cosmetology Instrument) RejuvaMed treatment for non-surgical lifting, regeneration, and bio-stimulation—to put it more bluntly—to give patients healthier and more resilient skin. Clinic Dr Paris is the first doctor-led clinic in the UK to introduce CACI RejuvaMed.

Created by Dr Paris, the 45-minute-long Longevity Lift is focused on the tissue below the surface of the skin, whereas standard facial treatments typically focus on the surface. It’s largely a preventative/skin maintenance treatment, falling under the “proactive ageing” banner. The treatment is anchored by four key technologies: first, oxygenation, to make the skin most receptive. Next comes the microcurrent muscle conditioning, when bio-electrical stimulation hits the facial musculature to tone and define the skin. The next step is the on-trend PDRN regenerative infusion, using polydeoxyribonucleotide (PDRN), via needle-free infusion to restore skin resilience. Lastly, there’s the LED photobiomodulation or light therapy, to stimulate, repair, and enhance the skin. Phew!

The Process

After reading about what the Longevity Lift promised, I was a little sceptical – it sounded like a lot of promises and tech for such a short session. (In fairness, a treatment cycle of six courses is recommended.) Still, I figured I’d try one and see how it goes, as I was told you can see results in as little as one session. My confidence in the treatment increased upon arriving at Clinic Dr Paris, a discreet and stylish spot almost hidden between Marylebone High Street and London’s famous Harley Street. Open for around three years now, the clinic is tucked off the High Street on the first floor of a residential-like building, and it immediately gives a welcoming but serious impression (and I thought the Diptyque toiletries in the WC were a nice touch). I was greeted warmly and quickly taken into my treatment room by the lovely Barbara, who has been in the industry for 30 years, and you can tell – she’s a wealth of knowledge. Barbara explained exactly what she was going to do, the equipment involved, and what to expect in terms of sensation (the aesthetic industry’s euphemism for pain), then she got to work.

First, she cleansed the skin before putting on a gel infused with carbon dioxide to stimulate oxygen production using a gentle scrubbing device with LED light. This was soothing and quick. Next came the bulk of the treatment: about 20 minutes for the microcurrent device, smoothly gliding over my skin, lubricated with a layer of cream. As someone who has had microcurrent stuff before, I know it can be painful, but here it was practically painless. Though Barbara mentioned that if you have metal fillings, you might get a taste of metal in your mouth, which I did. Next came the PDRN. This is typically derived from salmon sperm and delivered, but here, Barbara explained, it’s from botanicals, specifically ginseng and algae. This is great for vegans or people who don’t want to use anything with animal products. Also, this is typically administered via microneedling, but here it’s misted into the skin with microcurrent, which I really liked.

Finally, when my skin was nice and saturated with all those lovely and powerful botanicals, I was placed under an LED hood, during which Barbara massaged my hands. A lovely end to the treatment. The last step was a quick swipe of serum and SPF.

The Results

Though Barbara recommended a course of six treatments, had once a month, she did say I would see a change after one session, and as soon as I was done, I knew what she was talking about. “Your skin will look alive and boosted,” she told me, and she was right. I think this is a really great option for a pre-event pick-me-up, not to mention fantastic for vegans thanks to the botanical-based PDRN.
