The Strawberry Laser Chin Lift aims to deliver painless treatments to reduce double chins, facial jowls and skin tightening. The non-invasive treatment works by targeting fat cells in the neck, causing them to release water, glycerol and free fatty acids, followed by gentle ultrasound to tighten the area.
The process
Running late for my first appointment, bedraggled from shuffling along Gloucester Road in the pouring rain, The Eden Skin Clinic was easily found, tucked below a Toni & Guy. As I scurried downstairs, Lorraine cheerily greeted me and showed me inside her bright treatment room. I confessed I hadn’t heard of the Strawberry Lift treatment until a few weeks ago, and Lorraine explained that The Eden Clinic was the first to offer this in the UK. My usual diet and exercise plan had slumped over the winter months, so I welcome all the help I can get!
After taking the all-important ‘before’ pictures, I sat upright on the treatment bed while Lorraine applied gel to the area and fixed a couple of pads either side of my neck. I held the device under my chin for 12 minutes and a pleasant, warm sensation was the only noticeable feeling – quite comforting on a cold, rainy evening. A quick wipe of the neck, and I was out within 30 minutes of arriving.
The results
En route home from my first treatment, my friend commented that my jawline definitely looked tighter. A further 3 treatments over the course of 8 weeks and I concluded there was a definite improvement in overall tightness of the jawline, but you may expect to see even more noticable results if you have a greater amount of excess fat under your chin.
