Pure Enriching Avocado Treatment at Hair Organics

The Blurb:

Hair Organics in Notting Hill is apparently the leading botanic and mineral colour specialist in the UK. All of their products are organic and made from natural ingredients. Even the hair dyes contain an alkali derived from coconut fatty acids rather than ammonia.

The Process:

My hair is very curly and consequently can become quite dry. I try to deep condition at home but a summer of heat, swimming and the occasional straighten has left it beyond amateur repair. So, the Hair Organics Pure Enriching Avocado Treatment sounded like just what I needed. My hair was brushed, the result being a rather hilarious (for everyone else) Donna Summer ‘fro. Not a great start but, in the words of Take That, things could only get better. Wash, massage seat, massaged head; things had definitely got better. The avocado treatment was then generously applied to my dry locks, my head was put in a plastic bag and I was sat beneath those dryers that always make me think of a ‘50s hair salon. I read a magazine (top marks for choice of reading material); had my hair rewashed and the process was repeated. I received a proper cafetiere of coffee with two biscuits. And it only took half an hour.

The Result:

Aside from thoroughly enjoying the experience, my hair has felt glossier, moisturised and just better since. It has survived multiple washes, being straightened and generally maltreated. I will definitely be going back for more hair nourishment.

Pure Enriching Avocado Treatment £15; blow dry from £30.
