NeoGenSPA at Eden Skin Clinic, Kensington

What they Say

Led by skincare and anti-ageing expert Lorraine Scrivener, Eden Skin Clinic currently offers two privately owned, personally managed aesthetic clinics in London.

Lorraine is an approachable respected professional who regularly appears in the media advising on skincare and anti-ageing treatments. She and her team combine the latest trusted technology with premium brands and years of experience to enhance, rejuvenate and improve your skin without the need for surgery. ‘

The Experience

I made an appointment to have a procedure called NeoGenSPA looking for a non-invasive but effective way to tighten up my neck and jawline. NeoGenSPA is a clinically proven, quick and effective treatment catering for skin rejuvenation and skin tightening by concentrating on fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, stretch marks and acne scarring, with minimal downtime. After each treatment, your skin is meant to feel firmer, fresher and more youthful.

Lorraine met me in the treatment room and clearly and calmly talked through the procedure, immediately making me feel relaxed. She then left me in the room for a moment as she prepared. The treatment room was as cool and calm as Lorraine herself. I sat back, feeling confident that I was in good hands.

Lorraine cleansed my face and neck and put a cold hydrating Hyla Active 3D mask on, which is designed to cover all the contours of the face and neck and was very relaxing and refreshing.  We decided to use the low-energy NeoGen Plasma treatment on my whole face and neck – the milder, superficial treatment at 0.5J.

Lorraine then began the treatment process and I felt hot puffs of air on my skin, which was not unpleasant at all – I actually started to feel a bit sleepy.

After one month, I went back for the second treatment, which was easier. I met with Adele – who opted for the medium energy treatment – a medium-strength at 0.7J. It was hotter than before, and felt a bit prickly on my skin, as though I had been in the sun for a bit too long. She moved on very quickly from different sections of the face and neck so it didn’t become too hot, and used a cold damp pad to cool the skin. This time I had my eyelids treated as well, which I thought was quite brave of me!

I was advised not to touch my skin with any moisturiser or cleanser for 48 hours, as this would interfere with the regeneration, and if the skin peeled, I was to leave it alone to heal. Lorraine told me that the results of a NeoGen treatment are long-lasting and the improvements can continue to develop for up to 12 months.

My third visit, two weeks later, was to take pictures and compare the look of my skin before and after both treatments. I didn’t need a third treatment as my skin had responded well to the treatment, particularly around the eyes where the skin now looks much smoother and the lines have reduced. They do typically advise that clients will need 3 to 6 sessions to see the best possible results.

The Results

After two weeks, I am continuing to see a reduction in the tiny lines around my eyes and mouth, as well as a subtle tightening of the skin around my neck. Not only that, but several friends have told me I’m “looking well”!

If you have older skin and you’re looking for something that gives more of an advanced refresh than other non-invasive treatments, then this one is for you.
