Comvita has recently launched a new complete skincare range, which combines the anti-ageing and antibacterial properties of New Zealand manuka honey – HUNI®XA™, a special type of manuka honey with anti-ageing properties – with other natural products such as keratin protein, argan kernel oil and liquorice root extract (a new one for me. It’s known for helping to soothe skin tone).The range is 99% natural and comes with airless pumps to ensure the freshness of each product. My manuka honey facial was made freshly on the day and included select products from the Comvita range which were tailored to my skin’s needs.
The Process:
Klara, my Swedish therapist, cleansed my face with the Gentle Smoothing Cleanser (containing HUNI®XA™ manuka honey and macadamia oil), gently steamed my face to open the pores (combining some essential oils), performed some gentle extraction and applied a super cool, soothing manuka honey mask (packed with goodies including olive leaf extract). The mask smelt good enough to eat and the texture was pure honey! While it was left to do its work, Klara massaged my neck and shoulders. This was followed by a Hydrating Toning Mist and Radiance Plus Moisturiser.
The Result:
My skin definitely felt deeply cleansed and nourished. My skin tone was visibly more even and I wasn’t left with any shininess, so I felt confident to step into busy Portobello without any make-up on.
