Filler Dissolving with Regent’s Park Aesthetics

They Say

Dermal filler dissolving is a procedure that is done using Hyaluronidase (Hyalase®) when an individual has lumps (most commonly in lips), unevenness, migration, or simply doesn’t like the appearance due to the excessive use of dermal filler. Hyalase® is an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid: dermal filler and naturally occurring hyaluronic acid.

We Say

Filler can be dissolved for multiple reasons. It may have built up over the years and begun to look too much. You may have begun to lose perspective and moved too far away from your original features; it may have migrated, or moved from where it was originally placed, creating asymmetry or bulges; you may have liked massive lips or cheeks at one point, but now feel it’s no longer in vogue. Or you may have had them done with someone with poor visual judgement, or who just shares a different aesthetic to you. And, finally, you may have had them with someone great, but failed to communicate what you meant so well, and, as a result, ended up with something quite different, which is what had happened with me.

Whatever the reason, dissolving filler can be a great way to clean the slate and see what you’re working with.

I’d arrived at the swanky Wimpole Street clinic to have some ill-advised upper lip filler removed. While I’d wanted the filler, I hadn’t communicated the shape I meant very well, and had ended up with the opposite of what I’d intended (!).

The lovely, knowledgeable, and friendly Nurse Sian immediately put me at ease. The hyaluronidase injections were neither painful, nor extensive – just a few little pricks here and there and I was done. After the injections, she massaged and kneaded my lips, but this wasn’t painful. This is to ensure the product disperses throughout and doesn’t miss any residual filler.

Over the following 24 hours, the filler dissolves gradually, with my frequent mirror checks showing a noticeable difference hour by hour!

The Results

Sian did a fantastic job – at a family event this weekend my relatives all mentioned how much better I looked, and how relieved they were to see me looking ‘normal’ again.

If you’re considering filler removal, I couldn’t recommend a better place – Regents Park Aesthetics specialises in both filler and filler removal, and their training is second to none. The clinic is situated in a beautiful Georgian, Wimpole Street townhouse, and Sian is absolutely lovely.
