The Process
New Life Aesthetics is state-of-the-art – the immaculate clinic is housed on the ground floor of a tall Victorian building just minutes from Raynes Park station. With marble and terracotta granite columns trailing its grand façade, it starts as it means to go on. Inside is all elegant clean lines, high ceilings, and fresh flowers.
I sat down with managing director Mo, and aesthetic pharmacist Piotr, to discuss what New Life Aesthetics offer and how best to improve my face. With 30 years of aesthetics experience, there’s very little Mo doesn’t know about beauty, and with his MSc in cosmetic medicine, Piotr is as safe a pair of hands as they come with a needle.
I’m an extremely jumpy patient (poor Piotr), but with his expert eye he sculpted my cheeks into the softer, rounded apples I’d been craving. It was genuinely painless, and the lovely Mo chatted to me throughout.
We split the treatment between two appointments, in the first Piotr divided equal amounts of filler between each cheek, and in the second, a week or so later, we added more to the left to compensate for natural asymmetry.
It’s often better to make changes incrementally, allowing time for any swelling or bruising to dissipate before adding more filler – the old adage ‘less is more’ is especially pertinent when it comes to your face!
The Results
I couldn’t be happier; my cheeks have regained the soft contours of youth. Piotr evened out the natural asymmetry by adding more filler to the left, and whilst no one has ‘noticed’ as such, I’ve received more compliments on my face in the two weeks since being ‘filled’ than in the two months before.
I’m only sad the results won’t last forever!
