The process
I was keen to try brow lamination, after having scrolled through full-browed photos of Instagramers a few more times than I’d like to admit. I longed to fix my eyebrows, which were over-plucked from a 90s hangover – the tops of them forever growing in a downwards direction ever since I shaved them off, aged 11. I wanted to see if I could get a fuller look without resorting to stronger methods, and brow lamination promised to be the answer.
Bianca arrived right on time and set up a home spa in my living room. She was professional, friendly and efficient. As I’d never tried a brow treatment before, she made sure she understood exactly what I wanted and explained every step of the way. It was immensely relaxing, even more so knowing what could potentially be taking place (the transformation of my unruly brows) whilst I lay there. I nearly fell asleep on my sofa, even though part of the treatment includes a brow wax!
The Results
Bianca advised me on aftercare. She also managed my expectations by explaining that I would need to get them treated a few times in the next two years. In time, the treatments would start to last longer, and I’d eventually start to see the hairs growing naturally in the desired direction.
I felt very glam the next day and received compliments on my new ‘boyfriend brows’ from everyone I met – including my own boyfriend, who kept saying that it wasn’t just the brows that were different. It was, however, just the brows that were different, and now that I’ve discovered this trick, I’m never looking back. All hail the Instagram brow.
