Working out with a partner can be a great motivator, there’s no reason the two of you can’t perform the same routines so long as the resistance is adjusted accordingly. The male and female body need to be challenged and trained in exactly the same way; try strength training together, use the opportunity to check each others’ form and technique, ensure you both perform every rep perfectly and motivate each other to succeed. If you train in a health club together, ask a fitness coach for some examples. Try some compound exercises like squats, lunges and chest presses that focus on using large muscle groups together to burn fat and increase strength.
