Battersea’s premiere neighbourhood restaurant, London House—part of the Gordon Ramsay Group—has loosened its tie with a more relaxed décor, a range of flexible menus from new head chef George Lyon, and a variety of events to provide something for everyone whatever the time of day.
Head Chef George Lyon’s versatile menu is packed with comforting British dishes. The set lunch menu at £15 and £20 for two and three courses respectively features choices such as soup of the day, honey roast ham with warm piccalilli and colcannon mash and rhubarb and warm custard doughnuts.
Meanwhile, every weekend from noon until 5pm on Saturday and 9pm on Sundays, there’s bottomless Prosecco for just £15 when ordering a brunch dish such as Eggs Benedict, Waldorf salad or grilled steak. Sunday lunch also sees a rotating selection of sharing roasts that might include a classic Beef Wellington, Dingley Dell pork rack or slow-cooked lamb shoulder. You can even bring the pooch and there’s a bowl of dog biscuits on the house!
Little ones are more than welcome with ‘kids eat free’* every day of the week, and don’t miss ‘Wine Wednesdays’, when guest can enjoy wine at retail prices—meaning you can pick up a Puglian Fiano Sauvignon Blanc at the unbelievable price of £7.50 per 750ml bottle. Then with Thursdays the new Friday, beer lovers have reason to rejoice. ‘Thirsty Thursdays’ at London House mean you can enjoy unlimited pints with a bar snack of choice for £15 from noon until 11pm—how many more reasons could you need to drop by London House’s comfy lounge and inviting green-strewn terrace?
