Funicular Teams Up With Masterchef Professional Winner On Immersive New Dining Experience

Award-winning immersive dining and experience experts, Funicular Production, are transporting guests back to 1937 to a Europe in upheaval. As the threat of another World War looms, London’s opulent upper classes show no sign of slowing down as they board the luxurious Murdér Express and travel to the Southern French town of Murdér. But when the Jewel of the Empire – the largest cut diamond in the world – is stolen and murder strikes, every passenger becomes a suspect. Guests must pull up their velvet sleeves, find the real culprit and recover the priceless Jewel of the Empire before the train reaches its destination in Southern France and they escape forever.

As passengers embark on their journey they’ll be served a spectacular four-course meal from MasterChef: The Professionals 2018 champion, Laurence Henry, which includes Asparagus Veloute and Turned Spears, Corn Fed Chicken Ballotine stuffed with Sundried Tomatoes and Fine Herbs, a Strawberry and White Chocolate Jewel and more.

Without wanting to drop any spoilers, West London Living boarded the 20:30 one night and were taken for quite the ride! The disused station is brimming with charm – ideal for the production, and, unsurprisingly given the chef’s credentials, the food was great in itself.

Don’t miss the train – ideal for a family (teenagers and above) dinner, first date, or friends catch up – for a fun and transporting evening in London you couldn’t do much better!
