Bubbleology, Pembridge Road, Notting Hill, London, W11; Opens July; Mon–Thu 11am–11pm; Fri 11am–11.30pm; Sat–Sun 11.30am–11.30pm
Since its launch last year in Soho and Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge, Bubbleology has developed a cult following for its authentic fruit and milk-based Taiwanese bubble teas, served in trademark sealed cups with brightly coloured over-sized straws.
Four new flavours will be available at the café; rose milk tea with rose petal ice, passionfruit and cucumber, pomegranate and a refreshing watermelon fruit tea (£3.25 for standard and £3.75 for extra large cups). All flavours can be mixed, matched and experimented with to create a bespoke Bubbleology cup.
Hidden in the basement of the new store is a Subterranean Tea Lounge, complete with retro scientific apparatus, diagrams and equipment; an intimate and stylish space that can also be booked in its entirety for a private bubble tea-party.
