It’s not surprising that one of the top US cities to visit is Los Angeles (LA). There’s everything from top theatre shows, fantastic nightlife, sporting events to watch, beaches, Hollywood and some great casinos with excellent food.

Theatre galore
It’s not just in New York that there is a Broadway. A trip to LA will show you a fantastic choice of plays and musicals to attend. If musicals get your toes tapping, then some of the best available can be seen in LA. There are classics such as ‘Oklahoma’ and ‘Cats’ to modern-day musicals such as ‘Young Frankenstein,’ ‘The Addams Family’ and ‘The Book of Mormon.’
Plays that can be seen in LA include ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’, and with Halloween on its way, there’s ‘A Ghost Story’ to send some chills down your spine.
What a nightlife
LA nightlife is buzzing with amazing clubs, theatres and top casinos with great bars and fine dining. You can try your hand at all the traditional casino classics and also pick up the poker slang at the cards tables.
Going to a top casino in LA is going to be one of the highlights of your visit. There is a good number to choose from. One with a rather strange name but so entertaining to visit is the Parkwest Bicycle Hotel Casino.

There are some top sporting teams in LA. If you love the NFL, planning your visit to coincide with an LA Rams or LA Chargers match is ideal. NBA fans can watch an LA Lakers match, and baseball fans dare not leave without seeing the Clippers play. Soccer is popular, too, with the LA Galaxy team in the MLS.
April 2023 will be a great time to visit LA, especially if you are a wrestling fan. WrestleMania 39 is being held at the SoFi Stadium on the first two days of the month. Most of the famous WWE wrestlers will be appearing, and British fans can cheer on stars such as Drew McIntyre and Butch. Perhaps The Rock or John Cena, now famous in Hollywood, will be making an appearance?
A day on a beach

With guaranteed good weather, a visit to LA will see you heading to a beach for a relaxing time before a hectic night out. The hardest part about enjoying your time on a beach in LA is deciding which one to visit.
The number of beaches in LA is well into double figures. Just think if you’re going for a fortnight, you could relax on a different one every day. The sand is excellent, and the views are out of this world. If you enjoy travel, this should be on your bucket list.
Why not head to Venice Beach? This is a mile-and-a-half long, and you can sit there and stare at the Pacific Ocean. Probably a bit better than an afternoon on your local beach, especially if it has pebbles not sand.
Then there’s the Santa Monica State Beach with its white sand and many other attractions for you to enjoy, such as roller coaster rides that will take your breath away. As with everything in LA, it’s a place you will never forget.
