I first became friends with Riva when she opened a Victorian toyshop around the corner from me in Notting Hill. Many adventures later she now lives in San Francisco via Berlin with her start-up. She’s back in town to lecture at the Apple store on singularity and A.I. this week. This makes me very happy. Riva has always loved peonies.
Riva’s favourite café is:
Ladurée in Paris because it’s just so beautiful. Her boyfriend lives across the road so when they’re in Paris they wake up to the smell of fresh coffee.
What’s her favourite place to shop?
New York for its vintage and crazy sales.
Where’s her favourite city?
San Francisco because she has a tech start-up and the laid-back vibe suits her .
What’s her favourite movie?
Irreversible. Riva is fascinated by time and chronology.
What’s her favourite fragrance?
Riva loves Dior Hypnotic Poison as her big sister always wore it growing up.
