Cancer survivor Suzy Brilliant Jack (pictured) celebrated a new era for Cancer Research UK by opening the charity’s first new high street shop in 10 years.
Suzy, who was successfully treated for breast cancer, officially opened the shop at 183 Portobello Road, Notting Hill in August this year.
The new Portobello Road shop brings the total number of Cancer Research UK shops in the UK to 553. It boasts a new funky look with white floors, brightly coloured lampshades and a pink chaise longue, as well as an international volunteer staff able to help customers in at least five European languages. It has also already had some celebrity visitors include Radio 1 DJs Fearne Cotton and Nick Grimshaw.
