Take 3: Psychics

Psychic Sisters

Tucked away in a quiet corner on the lower ground floor of Selfridges, Psychic Sisters is a calming space for clairvoyant readings and healing run by Jayne Wallace, a psychic whose transatlantic fan base includes Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Kate Hudson.
On the day of my appointment, I was welcomed into a cosy room by one of Jayne’s team of readers, Jackie Cox, a clairvoyant with two decades of experience. I had barely sat down before Jackie began to describe what was going on in my life and how I felt about it, and she was spot on. She urged me to move to California as soon as possible – something I had been planning to do before the pandemic hit.
I was blown away by the reading with Jackie – she picked up on a lot of things in my life and gave me very sound advice about how to move on, which lifted my spirits and gave me renewed confidence.
I also had a healing session with Bina Seeburrun, who hails from Mauritius and inherited her psychic and healing abilities from her great-grandfather. Using singing bowls to create ethereal sounds, she performed an intuitive healing ritual as I sat on a chair with my eyes closed. I was touched by the genuine warmth and caring energy and left feeling noticeably lighter.

From £60 for a 30-minute reading with the Reader of the Day; healing from £80 for 30 minutes. Remote readings via Skype, telephone or email are also available. Selfridges, 400 Oxford St, London W1A 1AB; 07757 643777; psychicsisters.co.uk

Kim Alexis

Based in Belsize Park in North West London, Kim Alexis is a spiritual medium who also works as a crystal healer, past life regressionist and clinical hypnotherapist. Her career spanning two decades has earned her widespread media coverage and celebrity clients including Sadie Frost, Kate Moss and Jemima French.
My video call session with Kim felt as personable as meeting face to face, with the added benefit of not having to leave home. Her friendly manner instantly put me at ease and we seemed to connect well – she accurately described aspects of my personality and life, offering words of encouragement I needed to hear. I had been intrigued by Kim’s description of herself as a “spiritual psychologist”, and soon realised what she meant – a reading with her is a lot like talking therapy, except she is the one doing most of the talking, yet the insights resonated with me on a soul level.
In terms of her ability as a medium, the amount of detail she gave about someone she said was coming through from the spirit world made me certain she was talking about my late grandmother, and I was moved by the loving messages she conveyed. What also instilled a lot of confidence was the way Kim responded to the questions I put to her – not necessarily giving me the answer I was hoping for but still making it clear that we are all in control of our own destiny.

Ann Théato

Ann Théato is a psychic medium with more than 30 years’ experience. She is also the host of the podcast Psychic Matters where she explores all kinds of spiritual topics, such as mediumship techniques and paranormal science to give listeners an insight into their innate psychic ability and how to develop our sixth sense. Ann is an excellent interviewer and the conversations with her guests provide much food for thought.
Her list of credentials include trance mediumship training with the renowned British medium Tony Stockwell and studies at a number of prestigious institutions including The Spiritualist Association of Great Britain, The College of Psychic Studies in Kensington, The Arthur Findlay College and The Omega Institute in New York. She offers readings in person or over the phone with the aim to give clients clarity around any particular challenges, and a clear picture of their future potential. She also endeavours to connect with the spirit world and communicate with your loved ones.
As with any kind of one-to-one consultation, a psychic reading is a two-way process best approached with an open mind. Despite having meditated beforehand to get to a place of inner stillness, perhaps I hadn’t quite managed to do so as Ann commented on my racing thoughts and I didn’t feel we made a strong connection over the phone. She posed a series of searching questions until it began to feel like a guessing game, eventually asking if I was writing a book which I confirmed I am. She then said she could see it becoming a great success, so fingers crossed she is right.

One-hour reading, £100.
