Games Fever: Top Five Workout Items

With the Olympics just around the corner, more and more of us are pulling on our trainers and hitting the park/gym/tennis court in a bid to get fit and join in with games fever.

But the thought of ‘work out’ clothes often leaves the fashionistas among us rather uninspired. Here are my top five work out items which will have you looking the part in no time.

Unless you are Rebecca Adington, there really is no reason to wear an all-in-one Speedo to the pool. Swimsuits are not the most flattering, so instead of a sporty number, opt for something a little more feminine. Leave fluro colours or animal print bikinis for the beach and find a universally flattering one-piece with a bit of detailing. I love this black swimsuit from M&S. The ruched details and built-in cups mean you will look sleek and feminine while pushing out those lengths.

Add some colour to your work out with these flattering bright tops from Sweaty Betty. Lightweight and absorbent, these are so easy to wear, and the range of colours means there is something to suit every skin tone, giving your complexion a much needed boost on those early morning work outs.

Who said your gym bag had to resemble a 1980s school rucksack? Nothing says ‘savvy gym bunny’ like a stylish tote to carry your many essential items. This bright rubber tote from Anya Hindmarch is the perfect wipe clean addition to your work out get-up!
