Fairfax & Favor Introduces Its Latest Handbag Icon: The Connie

As Fairfax & Favor’s handbag category continues to surge, with sales increasing 38% year-on-year, the British luxury brand unveils The Connie – a new hero handbag designed to become a cornerstone of its Autumn Winter 2026 collection. Launched in Tan and Mahogany, the Italian-crafted silhouette reflects the brand’s signature balance of timeless design, premium materials and everyday versatility.

Originating in Norfolk, Fairfax & Favor is defined by modern British rural luxury: timeless, refined and quietly confident. Rooted in the countryside yet effortlessly at home in the city, every piece balances elegance with practicality, bringing British charm to a global audience. Launched today, The Connie Bag is considered an expression of Fairfax & Favor’s approach to modern craftsmanship, combining timeless design, premium materials, and enduring versatility.

Inspired by Fairfax & Favor’s equestrian heritage, The Connie combines the elegance of traditional British saddlery with a modern, understated aesthetic. Characterised by its curved saddle-bag silhouette, signature brass hardware and refined detailing, each bag is expertly crafted in Italy from fine pebble-grain leather. The result is a sophisticated yet practical design that balances enduring craftsmanship with contemporary versatility.

Barbara Horspool, Chief Creative Officer says:

“Saddlery is such a beautiful and practical expression of leather craftsmanship, and we wanted that same balance of form, function and considered detailing to be at the heart of The Connie. The design takes clear inspiration from British saddlery, both in its overall shape and in the smaller details that make the bag feel distinctive.

The bespoke hardware on the front of the bag is a refined reference to the classic horse bit, with clean lines and a contemporary profile that gives the design a modern edge. We’ve paired this with a brass finish, which is both a signature of Fairfax & Favor and a natural nod to its equestrian heritage. The dog clips and D-rings continue the story while also serving a practical purpose: allowing the wearer to switch between two straps. We wanted The Connie to feel rooted in its equestrian origins, but ultimately designed for modern life.”

Designed for a town-to-country transition, The Connie brings an effortless finish to city dressing while sitting naturally alongside an elevated country aesthetic, making the new icon a versatile option for many occasions. The new hero handbag is designed to become an investment piece, made to be lived in, not worn.

Retailing at £295, The Connie is available to purchase in Fairfax & Favor stores, or online via www.fairfaxandfavor.com
