Portobello Schoolyard

Portobello Schoolyard, a new weekly food and lifestyle market, launches in Notting Hill; Saturdays 10am - 4pm; FREE

On the crossing of Portobello Road and its trendier younger sibling, Golborne Road, Portobello Schoolyard is set to open in the beautiful grounds of Vicente Cañada Blanch Spanish School. Initially launching with 20-25 industry specialists – including award-winning farmers, boutique importers and two decorated chefs – Portobello Schoolyard will be a one-stop shop for Notting Hill residents to find everything from organic cucumbers and seasonal French cheeses to rare natural wines and bespoke homeware. The opening will serve as the market debut for Michelin star chef Phil Howard’s pasta delivery concept OTTO; as well as the first permanent home to Sam Kamienko, also with a Michelin star, and his new project, Kamienko’s Bagels. Portobello Schoolyard will also be the only market in which Notting Hill residents can find award-winning British produce from the organic and biodynamic Brambletye Fruit Farm alongside game-changing imports like natural wine from Wingnut Wines, charcuterie and cheese from The French Comte and others.
