The Ivy Chelsea Garden unveils show-stopping summer installation by Jenny Packham at 2018 Summer Party

Monday saw an array of guests—including regulars, local residents, influencers and VIPs including Jenny Packham, Chris Jackson & Natasha Jackson, Lily Travers, Caroline Rush, Monica Galetti, Rosanna Falconer, Niomi Smart and Lilah Parsons—gather to celebrate The Ivy Chelsea Garden’s annual summer party and exciting floral collaboration with British designer Jenny Packham.

On the night, guests enjoyed an evening in The Ivy Chelsea Garden’s orangery and garden, whilst being treated to an array of cocktails including The Queen Bee, featuring Warner Edwards Honeybee Gin, and a refreshing Summer Berry Cooler. Sumptuous canapés included mint red pepper tarts with basil and whipped goats cheese, mini smoked haddock fish cakes with horseradish mayonnaise, and a salted caramel and chocolate flower pot, while the Swing Petite Band entertained the crowd.

Marking the start of the summer season in Chelsea, the evening also celebrated the restaurant’s collaboration with Jenny Packham, who has designed a show-stopping floral installation covering the entire façade of The Ivy Chelsea Garden. From Monday 14 May to Sunday 1 July the restaurant’s now-famous external installation features a striking abundance of flowers, incorporating seasonal yellow blooms—including English garden roses, peonies and lemon mimosas—peppered with green foliage. Inspired by Jenny Packham’s iconic ombré designs, and in celebration of the brand’s 30th anniversary year, the installation transitions from white, to cream, to yellow, creating a breathtaking sight for guests to enjoy.

On the night Ellen Francis was dressed in fitting floral print attire by Jenny Packham and both were seen in front of the restaurant’s impressive floral installation to celebrate the upcoming RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Also in attendance on the night was Lilah Parsons, who wore Dhela by designer and attendee Danielle Helayel, and celebrity chef Monica Galetti, who said, “It’s so nice to enjoy someone else’s place tonight—back to filming tomorrow.”
