It was good to see the familiar faces of the staff at the launch of Notting Hill’s newly refurbished – by award-winning Dtwo design team – The Lonsdale, but where were the locals? Special guests included Sarah Jane Crawford, Sarah Parker-Bowles, Channel 5’s Nat Coombs, Sara Gilmour, and Poppy Delevigne who took to the decks for a DJ set, but we wanted to see a few more local faces. We swapped man stories with girls outside and sipped elderflower martinis – grabbing two when we could as the barmen struggled to keep up with demand.
The new team includes Tim Gardner (The Wellington Club), Jasmine Walters (The Ivy Club) and Jason Wallis (Hawksmoor). Plus, there’s a steakhouse menu, courtesy of master butchers, Allens of Mayfair.
