The Process
I found myself at Woodford Medical’s London clinic for a natural but flattering injectable cheek lift. The clinic offers all the heritage and beauty you’d expect of Upper Wimpole Street. Set in a glorious Georgian townhouse, Dr P’s office is glossy, flooded with natural light, and his manner is warm, intelligent and capable.
Dr Patterson favours a cannula for gentle and natural-looking volumisation. A canula is safer and avoids the need for multiple injection points, which are less accurate for positioning filler, more painful, and more likely to leave bruising.
There was no need for anaesthetic cream as only a single minute incision was made on either cheek. Dr P expertly inserted said canula, the filler entering almost imperceptibly; each cheek taking around 5 minutes to totally transform. Kerry, his assistant was a dab hand at distracting me, and a stress ball always helps. But, despite the fact I’m a confirmed needle-phobe, it was actually about as uncomfortable as a manicure.
Dr Patterson immediately put me at ease, he was improbably tolerant of my totally unnecessary jumpiness. I’d choose him again for this reason alone. But then I saw the results. Oh the results!
The Results
They were sublime. Dr Patterson understood exactly what I wanted, taking five years off me in about 10 minutes. Dr P also gave me advice on my rosacea, advising me to avoid high potency vitamin serums, acids and retinoids. He advised I try Epionce’s Renewal Facial Cream, which I’ve since been using religiously, with phenomenal results.
