Stevie Parle and Tom Dixon to Launch JOY at Portobello Docks on 31 July

Joy is a temporary hub of food, flowers and happiness from Stevie Parle and Tom Dixon.

Joy is a positive moment in a difficult time.

The beautifully adorned space at Portobello Docks – the home of Stevie’s hit former restaurant, Dock Kitchen – will include Parle’s own honey store, a farm-to-fork produce shop from Canterbury-based The Goods Shed, a stand-alone bar and the summer pop-up restaurant FLORA – immersed in hundreds of dahlias from young gardener Arthur Parkinson.

The 70-cover restaurant, with generous outdoor seating, is designed to be as accessible, friendly and happy-making as possible: a tonic for 2020. Stevie’s daily-changing menu includes dishes such as: Clams cooked with butter and fresh peas; Red prawns, burned lemon, marjoram; Fosse Meadows Chicken cooked over wood stuffed with ricotta and nduja, and a selection of simple sides showcasing The Goods Shed produce. Desserts include an American Pie for the table; and Egg yolk & chocolate cookies.

Bookings are available now and start from midday on Friday 31st July.
