VIPs and locals celebrate the opening of The Ivy Café, Richmond

Tuesday 18 April saw a host of local residents, business owners and VIPs gather to celebrate the arrival of The Ivy Café, Richmond. Hosted one day before the opening of the restaurant to the general public, guests were invited to preview the space and enjoy the drinks and canapés on offer as they welcomed The Ivy Café to the local area.

The latest venue from The Ivy Collection, the restaurant is located in picturesque Richmond. It offers a local, friendly environment with an accessible all-day, café-style menu offering breakfast, lunch, light snacks, afternoon tea, cocktails, weekend brunch and dinner seven days a week. Delectable dishes include tuna carpaccio—crushed avocado, jalapeṅo, coriander and lime dressing with shaved radish—and the classic brioche-crumbed chicken Milanese, with fried hen’s egg and black truffle.

The cocktail menu, meanwhile, features a selection of unique creations from The Ivy Collection’s Executive Bar Manager, Jeremy Evans, including some classics served with a twist, such as the ‘Richmond Park Royale’—Briottet rose liqueur, Sipsmith sloe gin and hibiscus topped with Champagne—and the ‘Riverside Collins ’—a mix of Wyborowa vodka, elderflower cordial, cucumber, apple and lime, topped with Aspall cider.

In keeping with the quintessentially British look of The Ivy Collection sites, The Ivy Café, Richmond, has commissioned the critically-acclaimed Martin Brudnizki Design Studio to consult on its interiors, as with its sister sites in Marylebone, Wimbledon Village and St John’s Wood. Bold bespoke artwork created by Adam Ellis and inspired by the natural landscapes of Richmond Hill and Richmond Park complements the bar, pendant lighting, antique bronze mirrors, marble floor tiles and burnt orange leather banquettes and bar stools, while the Isabella Room has beautiful views up Richmond Hill and is available for private bookings. An exciting addition to this charming London neighbourhood!
