Dr Stefan Duve, a dermatologist and skincare expert, spent several years developing the Doctor Duve medical skincare line. The skincare line is combined with the innovative Jet Peel 3 System to offer the Freshlift Facial with the aim being to regenerate stressed skin, target specific skin conditions and deliver a fresher, more youthful appearance. The treatment is only available at the FOUR salon in London with Ellie, a therapist who went to Munich for training in the technique.
The FOUR salon is predominantly a hair salon with a beauty salon in the basement where, once away from the chaos of central London and the noise of the hair salon, is peaceful with only limited noise being heard from upstairs. It has more of a medicinal atmosphere than the luxurious surroundings you would expect from a spa.
The Process:
Ellie gave me a brief consultation and guided me through each stage of the process. The jet peel was slowly moved over my whole face with more attention being paid to the areas with slight pigmentation, which felt similar to a cold wind in the face at this time of year after leaving a warm building. A collagen mask was then applied in three strips, leaving only my nostrils out. Ellie stayed in the room and gave me a hand and arm massage. Finally, water was applied through the jets and the clarifying face cream massaged in.
The Result:
Although my sensitive skin did look slightly red for a few hours after treatment, it calmed to reveal softer and fresher-looking skin.
