Festive frivolities at Ping Pong

For festive feasting with a twist, head to Ping Pong this year for an alternative array of Christmas delights that is sure to still jingle those bells. And for those looking to take their festive frivolities a step further, get down-and-dirty with Ping Pong’s famed masterclasses, including cocktail making and DIY Dim Sum lessons.

Ping Pong’s Merry Treats Menu (£19.95) boasts plates of handcrafted dumplings, spring rolls and other treats, brought out fresh from the kitchen—think delectable Duck and Ginger Dumplings, Truffle and Tofu Spring Rolls, and expertly folded Har Gau (steamed translucent dumplings, packed full of shrimp). For added festive cheer, and a brush with more familiar flavours, the menu also features a sultry Beef Wellington Puff, and with a nod to traditional Christmas conventions, a Turkey and Cider Dumpling.

Alongside sits a vegetarian menu, which comprises a selection of equally dainty and more-ish dishes. Parcels of deliciousness for diners to devour include Spinach and Mushroom Dumplings, Golden Dumplings and Vegetable Puffs. Dessert for both menus comes in the form of chewy, pillowy Hazelnut Mochi.

If the Merry Treats Menu doesn’t fly your sleigh, then take a step up to the Seasonal Feast (£24.95). Following in the same footsteps, the Seasonal Feast includes additions of finger-licking Honey Glazed Ribs and ends on a high with a Raspberry and Pistachio Parfait. The vegetarian option welcomes multiples of many of the Merry Treats plates, but also introduces Potato and Edamame Cakes to the team.

Inclusivity is a hallmark of Christmas, and in a bid not to leave out the most indulgent of fine food seekers, we hail the arrival of the Festive Indulgence Menu (£34.95). The menu covers all foodie aspects of the Ping Pong Christmas specials with exquisite additions, such as the Shanghai Chilli Wonton, Soft Shell Crab, and Beef and Kimchi Gyoza. The vegetarian menu also grows impressively, doubling the volume of some dishes, and shepherding in plates of Cheong Fun, Edamame, and the popular Purple Power Vegetable Salad. Both options finish in a blaze of velvety glory, with a cheeky Chocolate Fondant.

Ping Pong’s alcoholic add-ons include tipples such as Shanghai Mulled Wine, Mirabelle Plum Bellini, Hibiscus Kamikaze Digestif, as well as a considered wine selection. Ping Pong’s limited edition festive specials have now launched, and with eight locations dotted across the capital, there’s no excuse not to sample their carefully curated Christmas menus!
